GNM NURSING

OBJECTIVES OF G.N.M. COURSE

The course in this Institute is designed in such a way that on completion of 3years G.N.M. Course the student will be able to :

• 1. Demonstrate competency in providing Health care to individual, sick or well using Nursing process.
• 2. Apply knowledge from the humanities, biological & behavioral sciences in | functioning as a Nurse.
• 3. Function effectively with members of the Health team & Community applying the knowledge of human relations & communication skills in the work.
• 4. Participate as member of the Health team in delivery of curative, preventive,promotive & rehabilitative Health care sevice.
• 5. Mobilize Community resources & their involvement in working with the Communities.
• 6. Demonstrate the use of ethical values in their personal & professional lifes.
• 7. Recognize the need for continuing education for professional development.
• 8. Demonstrate basic skills in teaching patients & giving Nursing care to them.
• 9. Demonstrate basic skill in administration & leadership while working with members of Health team.
• 10.Learn research activities.

Eligibility criteria for G.N.M.

1. As per merit of marks obtained in higher secondary examination /PDC examination.
2. A.N.M. passed candidate with Registration from the respective State Council.
3. Personal interview
4. Medical fitness
5. Ready to pay tuition fee, hostel & mess charges, other fee as per fee structure of institute.
6. Ready to complete 3 years GNM course as per INC norms.
7. Written consent of legal parents
8. Age limit 17 to 35 years as per I.N.C. norms
9. The minimum education required is passed 10+2 with English with minimum 40% aggregate marks from any recognised board. Howeverscience is preferable.

b) Transfer certificate (T.C.).
c) Migration certificate.
d) High School certificate (10th) Marksheet.
e) Senior secondary school certificate (12th) Marksheet.
f) Medical certificate issued by Civil Surgeon/CMO/BMO of a Government Hospital.
g)Domicile certificate.
h) Caste Certificate (If candidate belongs to SC, ST or OBC category).
i)Income Certificate of guardian/parent (If candidate belongs to SC, ST or OBC category).
j)Adhaar card.
k) Samagra I.D.
l)Bank passbook photocopy mentioning Account and Bank details.
m) Gap certificate (If candidate has an interval between last appeared examination and date of admission of one year or more).
