Nursing is a noble profession that signifies much more than mere administration of medicines and patient care. Nursing as a profession calls certain special qualities. Modern Nursing is an art and science which demands a keen mind, hard study and ability to reason. Most people think about Nursing as only caring for the sick or assisting the doctor in care and treatment of patient, but it is definitely more than that.

As the needs of humanity changes at different times and conditions, the nursing is developing greatly in its standard and quality for ensuring betterment of patient's care. Today Nursing has grown to be recognizing, understanding and meeting the health needs of an individual or society and is based on a constantly changing body of scientific knowledge. Our society believes, the progress of our country depends on the health of its citizens and thus education of a Nurse contributes a lot to promote and maintain the health of a Nation as a whole. We take up the responsibility in promoting Nursing education based on scientific principles in order to produce skilled, highly competent and qualified nurses to face the challenges as well as to promote and maintain health of an individual.
